Southwest Windpower AIR-X
The Type AIR systems are the
world’s leading small-scale wind power stations. The Type AIR-X
uses an innovative, microprocessor-controlled technology which
provides higher performance, improved battery-charging capacity and
enhanced safety, as well as reducing system-related noise emission.
By optimising the output power of the alternating current generator
at all points on the output curve, the charge controller allows Peak
Power Tracking and provides efficient energy transfer to the
battery. Using the wind power station’s “intelligent”
controller, the rotational speed of the rotor blades can be
actively regulated, whereby the vibration noise which generally
occurs in smaller-scale wind power stations is suppressed.
Characteristics
- The AIR-X features a new type of
rectifier and charger control technology.
- The microprocessor-controlled controller
provides voltage regulation, Peak Power Tracking, low noise
emission and stall regulation in strong winds.
- The synchronous rectifier bridge allows
higher yield while providing protection against
overheating.
- Type AIR-X systems have a
voltage-amplifying function which allows the charging voltage to
be achieved at much lower speeds
